To start ......
The Johansen Sisters grew up in a small town in rural Northeast Nebraska. They were part of a country band for a short time which frequented local clubs from Norfolk to West Point to David City. After getting married, the girls turned their focus to family life which placed Julie in Oregon and didn't leave time for singing. Now.... Since 2004, The Johansen Sisters are back together again! They sing at state and county fairs, conventions, casinos, country music theaters, festivals, reunions and churches. You will hear songs from the "Country Classics," some of the newer country hits, as well as, "50s," "Patriotic" and "Country Gospel" They have won awards for their harmony and song writing, and love to stir up a crowd with their humorous stories. |

They currently have 3 CD's out.(2-Classic Country & 1-Country Gospel) Their latest CD, "Cup of Joe," will be accepting the award from the Rural Roots Country Music Commission for best "Rural Roots" CD of the year for 2011! The fun they have on stage is contagious! It is obvious they love to sing together and entertain crowds as they share their God-given talents.
